ABOUT US

Like any other quality organization, MorfMinis has been a long time in the making. Here's our story:

The Morford family began a lifetime of raising dogs in the summer of 2006, when Marsh's stepfather gave us two Huskies to begin a dogsled team.  This snowballed into the oldest son racing sled dogs in Idaho, to Marsh and that same son starting a seasonal dogsled tour business in Park City, Utah, to hiring out mushers in the winter and the family caring for and training the growing teams the rest of the year; eventually the number of Huskies grew to the point of needing to rehome older dogs and newer puppies.  We found that people are always looking for pets from a reputable breeder and were pleased to have the assurance that our Huskies were purebred and lovingly cared for.  We wanted to branch out and be able to provide pets even for those who weren't looking for a full-size, purebred Husky.

In 2018, we were given that opportunity.  Heather DeMille of the DeMille Family Horse Ranch gave us the care of her breeding business, Pomsky Northerns, which we fully took over in January 2021.  Seeing the joy these mini Huskies could bring to families made us think that maybe other beloved large breeds could become that perfect size as well.

In 2020, Heather helped us begin to develop a Mini Weimaraner.  We are still working with foundation dogs, but getting closer to producing the perfect look.  A Morford daughter has branched off and begun breeding Shiba Inus through her business, Dreamy Shiba.

Now, employing MiniWeimar's foundation dogs, some from Pomsky Northerns, and full-size breeds, we are working to bring you minis of all your favorites.
